Wrapping up October and a peek at November - More power to the state - what to expect! Has there ever been a time in history where the forces and sources of change were so aligned driving global action for empowering the state. Nations are joining forces striving to address: climate change, the Covid pandemic, supply chain constraints, rising inflation, sovereign debt in the $Ts, tax avoidance and erosion of competition by BIGtech, activist social justice, hordes migrating. The socio-enviro-econo forces are portrayed by some as existential threats attributed to a failing of democracy and capitalism, and warranting globally unified action by governments. What is paradoxical is that the most appealing measures only sere to constrain innovation and labour mobility, setting up extraordinary tension between governments striving to be global "fixers" and people viewing themselves as responsible. As witness to these tensions through our October webinars we repeatedly found that leadership and vision are lacking that serve to inspire NOT constrain the public, leadership prepared to embrace change, leadership for restoring personal confidence and promoting personal responsibility, and leadership addressing the institutional rigidities that serve to maintain the status quo. McKinsey's research HERE echos the very conclusions derived through our webinar series on how to go about growing a sustainable, more resilient and inclusive economy: energy transitions, leadership in innovation, and investing in people/ talent. - Editor WEBINAR SCHEDULE - NOVEMBER - https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85896241732
