“Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I want to start off 2025 by saying—Canada—you’re an incredible country. Beautiful, tremendous, really, truly special. And we, the United States, we’ve been great neighbors. Fantastic neighbors, the best neighbors, for centuries. We share something amazing: a bond of friendship, cooperation, respect. And let’s not forget, we’ve done incredible things together—trade, defense, freedom—it’s beautiful.
Now, I’ve always admired Canada. Always. You’ve got it all. Stunning landscapes, tremendous natural resources, and wonderful people. Smart people, hardworking people. Canada is admired all over the world, folks. It’s true. You’ve got healthcare, environmental leadership—great stuff. You’re leaders, no question.
So here’s the thing: I’m proposing something unprecedented, historic. An opportunity, folks, for Canada to deepen our incredible relationship. Let’s explore this idea—Canada becoming part of the United States. Not to take away from your sovereignty, your uniqueness—because Canada is special—but to make us both stronger. To build the most powerful, united North America the world has ever seen.
Now, let’s talk about the benefits. For Canada, this means greater access to American markets—huge markets—jobs, growth, prosperity. You’d have the full protection of the U.S. Armed Forces. No one would mess with us. Representation in Congress—big deal, folks. And together, we could create the best healthcare, the best social systems. Incredible opportunities, right?
For the U.S., let’s be honest: Canada brings a lot to the table. Resources, culture, people. You’d make America even greater. Together, we’d lead the world—on climate, peacekeeping, innovation—you name it.
But I get it. There are concerns. You might worry about losing your identity—your wonderful identity. But let me tell you, this isn’t about taking over. This is about partnership, about mutual respect. We’ll address the challenges. Together.
So here’s what I’m saying: in 2025, let’s start talking. Let’s negotiate. Let’s find a deal—a great deal, a win-win deal—that works for both of us. Canada, you’ve been the muse of American admiration for so long. Now let’s explore what we can create together.
Thank you. Thank you, Canada, for being incredible. And thank you for considering this historic opportunity. Together, we can do something truly amazing.”

"No Way - USA" Prevails. Union Rejected. The dynamic negotiations between Canada - the muse, and the US - the suitor, concluded. Despite the polls and media showing otherwise, the Canadian referendum rejected the union offer by a wide margin. The negotiations throughout the first half of 2025 reflected a complex relationship where admiration and ambition were tempered with caution and identity. While the ideas of consummation sparked romanticized disussions, the practicalities and prevalence of violence in the US suggested the "courtship" as more about deepening mutual respect and collaboration than a formal union. A joint press release on July 1st reflected an agreement that the relationship remain one of close neighbours, continuing to navigate their differences and shared interests.

This development promises to reduce dependency on fossil fuels and renewable energy sources, with significant geopolitical implications for energy-exporting nations.
